I greatly appreciate you bringing these horrors to our attention. How is it that at age 75, this is the first time I have heard of this terrible incident? And I wasn't taught about Greenwood or the others you have written about. I check with my friends (all White), and they say the same thing. They had never heard of them either. Is that a reflection of our upbringing and our public education in the 50s, 60s, & 70s? Regardless, thank you for enlightening me. Our country has a sordid history, and with fascists like DeSantis, the Proud Boys, and others, it sadly continues.
