Rock's joke was no joke at all. It was pure verbal abuse couched as humor. He has gotten away with that for far too long, just as the abuse levied against Black women that you have so eloquently written and explained. I understand Will's reaction, but I don't agree with any form of violence, just as you have so graciously and pointedly described. Thank you for this important lesson.
